Assignment Introduction: Please read the assignment about the Sohail family case study and then complete each task in order to produce your report.

The context for the case study report - You are a Step Up to Social Work student working in Farringdon Vale Children's Services. You have been asked by your supervisor to produce a report on the Sohail family for a strategy meeting. It is expected that your report will make no more than three recommendations for the strategy meeting to consider. Your report will be written in the third person. The structure of your report should include the following:

Report layout including subsections:

a) Cover page: ID number, Subject and Topic.

b) Introduction (200 words approximately).

c) Task 1 (700 words approximately).

d) Task 2 (1000 words approximately).

e) Task 3 (900 words approximately).

f) Conclusion and Recommendations (200 Words approximately).

Introduction:

Using the case study notes on the Sohail family you should explain the purpose of your report. You will give the reader a brief outline of the issues that the report will address.

Outline a theory concerning race, ethnicity, identity or culture that may relate to Jessica's needs.

Discuss Jessica's needs, why it is a need and the consequences of her needs not being met.

Analyze how Jessica's needs are interrelated and how these needs relate to her future development.

Consider the socio-economic context of the family.

Task 3: Apply theories of lifecycle development

Choose one theory that is relevant to explain the dynamics of the Sohail family focusing on Jessica. Outline and assess how this theory helps inform the professionals' discussion for the Strategy meeting.

Knowledge and understanding of one lifecycle development theory.

Ability to apply the relevant theory to Jessica's lifecycle.

Ability to consider possible limitations to the lifecycle theory.
