Discuss biases/prejudice the european authors displayed

Problem: You are to focus on two primary sources from the readings; Worlds Collide (Diaz, 258 - 262) and Defending Indigenous Humanity (de Las Casas, 264 - 266). After reading those, you will have a good sense of what Europeans were thinking about and hearing in regard to the native population. I want you to discuss some of the biases/prejudice the European authors displayed in each. How did each appear to view the natives? What preconceptions did they express? And so on. Focus your attention on what they were saying, what their intentions were in writing the source, and what they were assuming to know or be true about the natives.
