You offered some great historical details in your post, but I think you may have considered the question too broadly. The question you chose to address asked specifically about England in the late 17th century. Much of the information you offered in your post did not address this particular time period and / or geographical location. If you look specifically at late 17th century England, what do you think about the Whig interpretation of history or constitutionalism?
