Some of the differences between a legal and ethical relevance could be in the instance where the law dictates what information can be released to the insurance companies. They have the right to certain information of the patient's medical record but if there is a risk to another person an ethical healthcare decision may need to break confidentiality prevent any harm to that person. There are also other code of ethics that are followed such as the relationships between patients and the doctors and nurses. This is considered a serious form of misconduct and can result in expulsion from the profession or loss of ones license.
In order for it to be legal that a patient to be treated they must provide consent. A surgery that is performed without proper consent can be considered assault according to a "2009 article in the internet journal of surgery". When treating children this can be a conflict between ethics and the law in certain situations. The professional may believe that the parents be informed of their child's health issues.
