Assignment task: Write a response to the following prompt for the readings in Unit One from the book, "Teaching by principles and interactive approach to language pedagogy."
Chapter 2 A Century of Language Teaching, Chap. 3 Contextualizing, communicative, approaches, and Chap. 4 teaching by principles, focused on the history of ESL teaching and on background information about methods and approaches. These also provide us with an introduction to contemporary approaches and principles specific to teaching ESL.
