Suppose a local retail store requests your assistance in developing a training program to target customer service skills in their employees. For purposes of this discussion, pretend that you have already conducted a training needs assessment and developed a training plan based on the findings. Present your findings and plan to the class. Address the following:

  • A summary of the training needs assessment findings at each level
  • Relevant employee characteristics that may affect training effectiveness
  • Relevant organizational characteristics that may affect training effectiveness
  • The specific knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or competencies you chose to address through the training
  • The specific training method(s) you chose to employ
