Assigned Product & Scenario: "Chevrolet BOLT EV" (the newly developed all electric car). General Motor Inc. will be launching BOLT late fall 2016 in the U.S. market (home market). GM is planning to market this product in a foreign country (the host country) in the second half of 2017 (about 1 year after the U.S. launch). You will conduct BOLT's global market analysis (global marketing environment), suggest Chinaas the host country market, and prepare a 3-year marketing plan (Year 2017 - 2019) for a foreign market. Note that you shall only recommend the foreign market that GM currently has market presence.

Report Format: The reports must be single-spaced in 12-point font, with pages numbered consecutively throughoutthe entire paper. You must cite the sources of information and provide the references in the footnote (i.e., use an "Insert Footnote" function in MS Word). Use footnote, do not use end note references. Your footnote referencelist shall follow the American Marketing Association's reference list style and must be single-spaced in 10-point font. If you insert tables in your paper, the table content (heading, content, etc.) can be 10-point font. Please see "Term Project Report Format & Reference" toward the end of this section and page limits in "Term Project ReportOutline." Penalty (i.e., points deducted from term project grade) is possible if your papers do not follow the formatrequirement.

Requirements:

- Marketing Objectives (less than 1 page)

• Develop specific (measurable) objectives for the proposed marketing programs (e.g., profit, sales, return on investment, market share, brand/ad awareness, attitude, etc.) for each year of operation. Please make sure these objectives can be realistically achieved by the implementation of your proposed marketing strategy and aligned with the firm's strategies. Please suggest how to measure these objectives.

- Financial Projection (max. 4 pages, see also Ch. 10 to 14 and relevant lectures)

• Please use the following template for your financial projection.

• Note that some items may differ from this template and each item may have multiple estimation techniques. It is possible that you may not be able to itemize some expense categories e.g., general expense.

• You will need to evaluate and decide the marketing strategy that you're going to adopt for the product, the company's financial data during the last 3 years, and data regarding marketing environments in the host country(China) to prepare this financial projection.
