Learning Activity: Brochure on Types of Attention
Attention involves more than simply being focused.
Over the years, researchers such as Mirsky, Barkley, Posner, and Broadbent have both identified and highlighted various types of attention to include divided attention, selective attention, sustained attention, shifting attention, as well as auditory attention and visual attention.
Using the module readings, Argosy University online library resources, and the Internet, research the different types of attention.
Then develop a brochure to explain the different types of attention. Your brochure should include the following: A description of at least three and no more than five different types of attention, with citations from scholarly sourcesAt least one example identified for each type of attentionFor each type of attention, an explanation that details how it might impact a client in your chosen sport psychology careerUse your creativity to choose an appropriate template for the brochure and structure your information in a logical manner.
You may review and use templates provided in Microsoft Office or Microsoft Publisher.
The response should include a reference list. Double-space, using Times New Roman 12 pnt font, one-inch margins, and APA style of writing and citations.
