Determine the percentage of calcium carbonate

The weight loss is due to the volatilization of CO2 (44.01 g/mol). A chemist is given a sample known to contain calcium carbonate, CaCO3. It is also known that CaCO3 (100.09 g/mol) is the only component that loses weight on ignition of the sample. When a sample of this mixture weighing 453.2 mg was ignited, the weight of the residue was 428.8 mg. Determine the percentage of calcium carbonate in the sample. (M Ca=40.08, O=16.00)
