A shearing machine cuts flat sheet steel strips 100mm wide by 25mm thick and 6J of work are required per square mm cut. The flywheel RoG is 1m and has a speed of 130 rev/min at the start of each cut. Assuming that the energy required for cutting is supplied wholly by the flywheel, and its speed reduction is not to exceed 15% of the maximum speed, determine the mass of the flywheel and the torque that must be applied to the flywheel so that it can regain full speed in the 3.3 seconds available between cuts
