Determine the final temperature and the net work


1) A cylinder/piston contains a saturated vapor R-410a at 10 C; the volume is 10 L. The R-410a is compressed to 2MPa, 60 C in a reversible (internally) polytropic process. Find the polytropic exponent n ans calculate the work and heat transfer.

2) A cylinder/piston contains air under ambient conditions 100kPa and 20 C with a volume of 0.3 m^3. The air is compressed to 800 kPa in a reversable polytropic process wiith exponent n=1.2, after which it is expanded back to 100 kPa in a reverable adiabatic process. Show the two processes in P-v and T-s diagrams, and determine the final temperatur and the net work.
