Determine initial temperature of the water by test software

1.Determine the specific volume of superheated nitrogen gas at an absolute pressure of 678 kPa and -134°C based on (a) the ideal-gas equation; and (b) the generalized compressibility chart (on back). For nitrogen, R=0.2969 kPa-m^3/kg-K and the critical temperature and pressure are 126.2 K and 3.39 MPa, respectively.

2. A piston-cylinder device initially contains 2.0 kg of saturated liquid water at 180°C. Heat is transferred to the water until the volume quadruples and the cylinder contains saturated vapor only. Using properties from the TEST software for water (H2O), determine (a) the initial and final volumes of the cylinder, (b) the final temperature and pressure, (c) the internal energy change of the water.

3) A piston-cylinder device has a volume of 0.06 m^3. The device is initially in equilibrium at 500 kPa and contains 0.057 m^3 of water vapor with the remainder as liquid water. At constant pressure, heat is supplied to the device until the temperature reaches 350°C. Using properties from the TEST software for water (H2O), determine (a) the initial temperature of the water; (b)the total mass of the water; (c) the final volume.
