In present-day educational environments, there are numerous challenges and potential issues pertaining to attention that necessitate resolution. Currently, the matter of attentiveness holds significant importance within the realm of academia. Several crucial aspects that influence our capacity to maintain focus on a given task encompass the level of interest we have in the stimuli and the presence of various distractions (Cherry, 2022). The attention spans of students have diminished due to various causes, including the prevalent utilization of digital devices, the escalating volume of accessible information, and the fast-paced nature of contemporary society. This is a significant challenge for educators seeking to motivate and educate their students. In order to tackle this matter, scholars are currently investigating prospective enhancements pertaining to attention and schooling.

The allocation of attention is constrained by both capacity and duration, necessitating the implementation of strategies to efficiently regulate the limited attentional resources at our disposal for the purpose of comprehending the surrounding environment (Cherry, 2022). It assumes a crucial function in the process of acquiring knowledge and attaining scholastic success. Nevertheless, contemporary pupils encounter a multitude of distractions that impede their capacity to maintain focus. In contemporary society, there has been a notable shift towards electronic means for several activities, including communication, writing/documentation, and information retrieval (Anderson & Rainie, 2018). Digital gadgets, such as smartphones and tablets, have grown increasingly prevalent in modern society, offering individuals continuous connectivity to various forms of digital content, including social media platforms, online gaming platforms, and other engaging activities that capture their attention.

In addition, the proliferation of information accessible on the internet and the rapid pace of contemporary society both contribute to the fragmentation of attention and challenges in sustaining concentration. The decrease in attention spans presents noteworthy obstacles for instructors. Conventional pedagogical approaches that largely emphasize passive learning, such as lectures, may prove inadequate in capturing students' attention and fostering their active engagement. In order to tackle this matter, scholars are currently examining feasible enhancements that can augment attention within educational environments.
