• 1. Describe your research topic & explain why you are interested in exploring the topic or why the topic is important to study.
• 2. A brief summary describing what is known about your research topic and what you believe needs to be known next based on a critical analysis of at least 2 studies or literature review related to your research topic.
• 3.A description of your research question(s) narrowing down from the research topic
• 4. What kind of research are you proposing? (Quantitative - correlational, causal comparative, Qualitative, Mixed, etc.) If a quantitative method is used by itself or as a part of a mixed method design, what are your dependent and independent variables? How will you measure each dependent variable?
• What population are you studying? (preschool children, elementary school teachers, etc.)
• How large is your proposed sample & how will you choose your sample? (random sample, stratified sample, convenience sample, typical case etc.)
• Mechanics: Professional editing 5 pages [Cover (1), Main (3), & References (1)], double-spaced, 12 point font Times New Roman or Arial, APA format in citations and references (A minimum of 3 references (2 peer reviewed articles)
• As a continuation of your research project, you will design your research, develop data collection plans, and develop instruments.
You are required to develop at least two - three different types of data collection methods (e.g. surveys, interviews - individual, focus group) or two - three different sources of data collection (e.g. surveys for teachers, students, and administrators). Submit at least three sample instruments.
For each instrument, explain its purpose and describe its development process with a sample of the instrument.
