I. Describe the health care problem or issue you selected for use in Assessment 2 (from the Assessment Topic Areas media piece) and provide details about it.
i. Explore your chosen topic. For this, you should use the first four steps of the Socratic Problem-Solving Approach to aid your critical thinking. This approach was introduced in Assessment 2.
ii. Identify possible causes for the problem or issue.
II. Use scholarly information to describe and explain the health care problem or issue and identify possible causes for it.
i. Identify at least three scholarly or academic peer-reviewed journal articles about the topic.
a. You may find the How Do I Find Peer-Reviewed Articles? library guide helpful in locating appropriate references.
b. You may use articles you found while working on Assessment 2 or you may search the Capella library for other articles.
c. You may find the applicable Undergraduate Library Research Guide helpful in your search.
ii. Review the Think Critically About Source Quality to help you complete the following:
a. Assess the credibility of the information sources.
b. Assess the relevance of the information sources.
III. Analyze the health care problem or issue.
i. Describe the setting or context for the problems or issues.
ii. Describe why the problem or issue is important to you.
iii. Identify groups of people affected by the problem or issue.
iv. Provide examples that support your analysis of the problem or issue.
IV. Discuss potential solutions for the health care problem or issue.
i. Describe what would be required to implement a solution.
ii. Describe potential consequences of ignoring the problem or issue.
iii. Provide the pros and cons for one of the solutions you are proposing.
V. Analyze the ethical implications if the potential solution (the one for which you provide pros and cons) were to be implemented.
i. Provide examples from the literature to support the points you are making.
ii. Discuss the pros and cons of implementing the proposed solution from an ethical principle point of view.
iii. Describe what would be required to implement the proposed solution.
Format your homework according to the following formatting requirements:
i) The answer should be typed, using Times New Roman font (size 12), double spaced, with one-inch margins on all sides.
ii) The response also includes a cover page containing the title of the homework, the student's name, the course title, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.
iii) Also include a reference page. The Citations and references must follow APA format. The reference page is not included in the required page length.
