Assignment Task:
Choose at least 3 of the golden rules of leadership From The Following Below, and explain the best way you can implement them in your workplace with samples.
The Ten Golden Rules of Leadership:
Know thyself. Authentic leadership begins with self-awareness. Take a moment to discover what motivates you, inspires you, and makes you tick.
The office shows the person. A leader's inner world emerges when they assume authority. A leader's self-discovery process reveals whether or not they can productively apply power.
Nurture community in the workplace. A virtuous leader must cultivate it by providing support, guidance, and incentives to encourage community development and positive sentiment.
Avoid wasting energy on things you cannot change. Invest your energy and resources in something you can control and change.
Do not be afraid to embrace the truth. Truth is the only thing that matters. Leaders should always embrace it, encourage candid criticism within their organizations, be skeptical of flattering appraisals, and never let authority place a wedge between them and the truth.
Talent will be revealed by competition. Creating a platform where employees can use their ingenuity and creativity to pursue corporate goals and objectives, creating an environment that can harness the forces of competition constructively, identifying subordinates who are constructively motivated by competition, steering clear of associates who are destructively motivated by competition,
Be a one of high moral character. Keep a higher standard of personal conduct; do not harbor ill will toward those who offend, and suggest support to those who require it without expecting anything back. It also includes remaining calm in the face of crisis; adhering to principles without compromise; turning authority into power by showing your character, not by your jurisdiction granted by the corporate chart; earning your subordinates' trust, respect, and admiration.
Be critical when evaluating information. It is not a great idea to depend on old premises, assertions, or theories. Be critical, certify essential information's credibility and usefulness, analyze its context, and never make judgments before you have all the information.
Integrity is a powerful force. Never underestimate it. For a leader to be successful, personal integrity is essential. Embrace a code of ethics, never justify dishonesty and deceit, and rather fail with honor than cheat to succeed.
Destiny is shaped by character. Character and personal integrity are essential factors in leadership; much of our "destiny" can be controlled (Soupios & Mourdoukoutas, 2014). Need Assignment Help?
