In addition, work with your mentor teacher to identify a group of 3-5 students who need additional support. At least one student must have an IEP or 504 plan. If there are no students with IEPs or 504 plans, work with your mentor teacher to create a fictitious student. Identify 2-3 standards as the focus of additional instructional support. These standards will be used in future assignments. Spend any remaining field experience hours observing or assisting the teacher in providing instruction and support to the class. After completing your field experience, in words, summarize and reflect upon your?observations and collaboration with your mentor teacher. Describe how your mentor teacher creates learning objectives and whether he or she posts standards and/or learning objectives in the classroom for students. In addition, explain how you will use your findings in your future professional practice.
