Describe how you think evolutionary history

Assignment task:

For each reply, choose one behavior (a different behavior for each reply) you have learned about this term and describe how you think evolutionary history and lived experience might affect that behavior in living primates. I think the baboons Sapolsky studied acted differently because of a major shift in their social structure. After a group of the most aggressive, dominant males died from eating contaminated meat, the troop was left with mostly females and the more social, less aggressive males. This changed everything. Without the usual aggression and dominance fights, the troop developed a new kind of culture; one where there was way less stress and more cooperation. What really stood out to me was how even new males who joined the group learned quickly that aggression wasn't accepted. They adapted to the calmer environment instead of trying to dominate. Because of that, the troop had lower stress levels overall, and members actually lived longer. It really shocked me to see that not all behavior was purely evolutionary in this case, but rather about the culture that the group created. Need Assignment Help?
