Use text evidence from Plato's Republic and Ammianus' history to show how Julian is modeling himself as a philosopher king. Looking at Julian's Actions and speeches (particularly his ascension speech from book 20) describe how Julian is attempting to show that the characteristics of the philosopher king are in keeping with the ongoing military crises that Rome faces.
