In this assignment, you will undertake a number of activities designed to develop your skills of independent enquiry in order to show that you can formulate, specify, and plan to produce a product within a given timescale.

Task 3: Produce a specification for the agreed project

- From your original statements of the project needs (project brief), produce a formal project specification, which will be used during the timescale of the project

The specification includes both technical and non technical requirements.

- For a design type project, it is suggested that you include elements of a product design specification (PDS) for the technical requirements.

Task 4: Produce an appropriate project plan for the agreed project (A.C.1.4)

- Produce a plan for the project undertaken which takes into account activities, timescales, milestones and includes any deliverables and monitoring stages of the project.

Opportunities for Merit grading for task 4

To achieve higher than the pass level, the project plan will be based on methods which use appropriate evaluation and review techniques such as PERT. (M2)
