PART I: SHORT RESPONSE
Directions: Respond to the following prompts using complete sentences. Each answer should be a minimum of two paragraphs in length.
1. Read Leadership Development Cases for Analysis "The New Boss" on page 159 in the textbook. Answer Questions 1 and 2.
2. Define emotional intelligence and describe the four fundamental categories of its competencies and abilities. Can emotional intelligence be learned and developed? Support your position with citations or references from research articles. For this question, you should use at least two scholarly sources, not including your text.
3. Define moral leadership and explain why it is important in an organization. Describe the three levels of personal moral development. For each, give a personal example of a time when you fit into each of the three levels. Is an emphasis placed on moral leadership in business? Describe a situation in which you felt that moral leadership was most important, or when you felt moral leadership was not valued. How did you react?
4. Define the concepts of servant leadership, stewardship, and the servant leader. How would you say they are similar and interrelated?
5. What is courage and why is it important for leaders to exhibit it? How can a leader develop courage-type skills?
6. Give an example of a time where you personally exhibited courage as a leader in your life. Relate this back to a concept you learned in class. Be sure to describe the situation to your professor.
PART II: ESSAY
Directions: You watched the following video presented by the Wells Fargo CEO at Stanford: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XTh4ELp2VDc. Write a four to five page APA formatted paper in which you summarize his points, relate his points back to the work in our course, and compare and contrast at least three elements that he spoke about in his lecture. Be sure to reference your work.

PART III: JOURNAL ACTIVITY
Directions: You watched two engaging videos this week. What was your biggest take away from real leaders? What lessons did they learn that you hope you do not have to learn the hard way? What questions would you ask these leaders if you had the opportunity?
