Scenario:
Media is a comples system at times seeming to push or challenge gender norms while at other times pulling or merely mirroring the already existing gender expectations. however it must be noted that when media does push more often that not it is more likely an example of cultural lag than revolt that is rather than the catalyst of change popular cultural images and written messages about gender really only represent a mirroring ofsocial and economic changes that were already threatening the existing norms in the first place.
