Create your unit plan specifically forphysical education studentswith twostudents with disabilities in the class. You will choose a disability that you would like to gear your lesson plan around (e.g., cerebral palsy, visual impairments, etc.).Showhowyou integrated the curriculum (your lesson plans should show the modifications that you plan to make during the lesson you will teach to the student with a disability).Organize the unit outline in this manner.

•Target population (describe your students- what grade will you teach? In what city/state will you teach? What are the problems that might occur when teaching a student with the disability that you have chosen?)
•Definition of the disability (write 1 page for the definition of the disability that you are writing about this semester. Be sure to include how many students are affected by this disability and how it affects them in school)

•Goals(what are your goals for your 2 students with disabilities? Walk 100 steps each class period? It is important that you understand your disability well to make the proper goals for your students)

•Relevant State and National Standards (visit NASPE for national standards and your state physical education website for state standards)

•Management strategy (student contract; an example is located on Blackboard)

•Select3-5 books you would use if you actually taught this unit in a school. Be sure to list these books in APA format. Give a 1 sentence explanation as to why you chose each book.You do not have to read the books. The purpose of this portion of the plan is to make that you know how to look for resources in your professional career.

•Include5daily lesson plans of any sport or activity of your choice.I want you to do a lesson plan for each important skill related to a sport or activity.For example, in basketball, you might teach dribbling, shooting, passing offense,anddefense. Be sure to write a complete plan for each day.

•Discuss all intended assessment (one for each skill; what do you want them to know after you have taught the skill?) There are rubrics available online at sites such as PE Central)

•Citations and references (in APA style)
