Create the strategic plan for central health

Assignment:

Question: At some point, the proverbial pen and paper have to come together in an actual draft of the plan. You have identified your issues and outcomes.

You now have to write a essay on How do you develop the strategies that form your plan? Give examples of how you would proceed, using your plan.

You may have to look that up.

Central Health's primary focus is to bring quality health care to an underprivileged community. Their mission statement "by caring for those who need it most"sums up the dedication that Central has for the individuals of Travis County. This organization focuses on innovative ways to create and give healthcare access to the community for preventative and sustainable healthcare. The key to a successful strategic plan is to understand stakeholders and develop a clearer vision sketch. The decision makers will be responsible for orchestrating the strategic plan to achieve realistic goals and ensure the resources are available to meet the needs of the people. The important players would be the CEO, the president and board of directors. The delegation of responsibilities will trickle down from those individuals. The final stage of the strategic plan will be finalized and adopted by the key decision makers.

Revising the strategic plan generally takes place annually or every 4-5 years. While doing so, it is important to stay aligned with the organizations mission and vision statement. I would strengthen the goals of Central Health by running census reports to access the environment to identify the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and challenges to help reinforce a move comprehensive mission and values statement to adopt strategies that can be implemented in to an effective action plan.

During my revision planning I would ask specific question about the origination, for example; have the immediate goals been met in the original plan? While conducting this analysis I would focus more on the demographics of the neighborhood such as age, gender, poverty and race/ethnicity with the specific targets in mind. Another question I would pose when revising the plan would be; are the resources meeting the demand? I would add to increase awareness with posters and advertising to these areas so the demographic of individuals who need this help can know it's available. Canvasing the neighborhood to identify the area and location the center should be so that it is accessible. Placing the center in a needed community would help benefit the community. In additional to the goals of outreach I would include community health fairs that supplies blood pressure reading and free eye exams. Handing out condoms and sharing the importance of safe sex along with promoting preventative care. Holding outreach fairs in the public parks and public schools in the desirable locations. Campaigns on increasing the awareness of quality care along with the services that will be rendered.

Reviewing and analyzing the budget will be a must. The quest is the plan's budget within the organization planned expectations? This is to ensure the funds are allocated properly and make sure there is no deficit. With this I would compare the previous year with the current year to identify any trends. I would also like to strengthen and continue to build relationships with insurances and governmental agencies to keep contracts with certain health care insurances.

The revision of the strategic plan for Central Health will be comprised of comparing actual project results from prior years and setting measurable timetables and completion expectations. I would have to keep in mind, Rome wasn't built in a day so this is a continuous project.
