Marketing Strategy - SWOT Analysis
A SWOT interprets and analyzes the information generated from a 5 Cs analysis and then extracts the strategic implications for the business (recall that in our strategic marketing framework the SWOT sits in between the 5 Cs and the strategies of STPD). In this assignment, try to understand how internal conditions contribute to NDLS' strengths and weaknesses, and how external conditions exist as opportunities and threats to NDLS. Identify the most strategically important influences on NDLS' performance, both positive and negative. Your SWOT analysis should provide a snapshot of NDLS' current situation based on all that we have discussed in lecture and the supporting readings thus far in BASE 2102. The goal of your SWOT is not just to develop a laundry list of data, but to be able to cull down and pinpoint the most significant, pressing, strategically important internal and external conditions facing NDLS.
Using guidance in the Kerin textbook you are to create a SWOT analysis for NDLS. Present your analysis as a well-summarized SWOT table with bullets listing each of the components under each of the different categories of a SWOT analysis. Follow of your textbook and reproduced on the next page as a reference for correct formatting for this assignment. Further, you should include below the SWOT table a single, well-worded paragraph that analyzes your findings, not simply summarizes them. You should take your findings and ask what the significance of your SWOT analysis means for NDLS' business model and marketing strategy. How can our marketing plan build on critical strengths, correct glaring weaknesses, exploit significant opportunities and avoid disaster-laden threats?
