Being excited about managing supply chain flows you decided to use the money and start your own transportation business. You are considering all transportation modes and there are many decisions you need to make.
Please select a name for your transportation company and answer the following questions.
1. What transportation mode (e.g. road, air, etc.) you plan to compete in.
2. What "core" services will you offer and why? E.g. dedicated trucking, LTL, courier, etc.
3. Will you offer any additional services? Which ones will be 'free' and which ones will you charge for?
4. Will you specialize in a particular geographic area? E.g. GTA only, Ontario only, Canada or US only?
5. Will you offer any specialized services/equipment? E.g. refrigerated cargo, guaranteed delivery, "white glove" service, flatbeds, etc.?
6. Will you target any specific industries/companies or commodities? Which ones and why?
7. Create a 'sales pitch' to win over the potential customers.
