Discussion Post: Tech & the Job Search
Part I:
Evaluate your online presence. Do a google search on your name. Make sure to use all versions of your name. Evaluate the following: What is "out there" about you? What is your current personal brand? What is your current reputation online? What is the status of your professional online network? In other words, if someone sought out information about you online...right now...what would they find? What do you need to do about that?
Part II:
Create a LinkedIn profile or update your current one if you already have one. Share it with your OLT members-post the link to your profile in your discussion post.
Critique each other's profiles. What would you suggest to help them put forth their best professional brand, reputation and professional online network?
The response must include a reference list. Using Times New Roman 12 pnt font, double-space, one-inch margins, and APA style of writing and citations.
