Problem: GIS Paper
You will write a 2 to 3 pages paper based on the Farkas, et al. (2016) GIS reading; your own research; and use of Business Analyst Online (BAO), an ERSI geographic information system (GIS). Your paper will respond to the following and offer at least two BAO/GIS maps.
1) First, describe how GIS is currently used by your industry. One source to answer this question is the search feature.
2) Create a BAO map and overlay the location of the top three competitors. Use the map to reflect the competitive environment. Import data based on your research that identifies the geographic region (city, state, etc.) with the highest sales, fastest production, and/or most growth, etc.
3) Discuss and provide at least one map with an overlay of the future demographic, financial, sales, education, or other data that is of most interest to your industry. Use an appropriate ESRI Tapestry profile to help add value to your map.
4) Add a legend to each map to identify the important points or symbols used within the map.
The response must include a reference list. Using Times New Roman 12 pnt font, double-space, one-inch margins, and APA style of writing and citations.
