What ideologies, values and beliefs underpin this policy? How does the policy understand or ‘construct’ the notion of ‘disability?’ What does it mean to have a ‘good’ education? What does it mean to have a ‘good’ student? What silences are there around this policy? For example is there enough funds, broader access to social services in the community, challenging stigma and exclusionary practices within educational and community institutions?
Furthermore, you need to have more detail about why you are using the references you are using.

1) WHAT IS THE PROBLEM REPRESENTED TO BE?
a. How does the policy frame the issue?
2) WHAT PRESUPPOSITIONS OR ASSUMPTIONS UNDERLIES THIS REPRESENTATION OF THE PROBLEM?
a. What stereotypes, biases or ideologies are present in this way of framing the issue?
3) HOW HAS THIS REPRESENTATION OF THE PROBLEM COME ABOUT?
a. What is the history of the problem representation or way of framing the issue?
4) WHAT IS LEFT UNPROBLEMATIC IN THIS REPRESENTATION OF THE PROBLEM?
a. What is left out or left unexplained in this way of framing the issue? What are the other ways of looking at this issue? Why are these not being spoken about? Who does this benefit?
5) WHAT EFFECTS ARE PRODUCED BY THIS PROBLEM REPRESENTATION?
a. What are the effects on the population that is targeted by this problem representation? Stigma? Discrimination? Demonisation?
b. What are the physical consequences – resrouces distribution? Ideological domination? Services?
6) HOW/WHERE IS THIS PROBLEM REPRESENTATION PRODUCED, DISSEMINATED, DEFENDED?
a. Who produces this problem representation? Who reinforces it?
b. Media? Government? Social services? Etc.
Important: The analysis should provide critical and analytical discussion, rather than just descriptive discussion. The analysis is focused on the policy response to the social issue, not an analysis of the social issue.
