You are the project manager leading a high-visibility data center consolidation initiative for North American operations. The team is charged with delivering a new 8,000 square foot data center in ten months starting March 1, 2016, within its $6 million budget, and with zero business disruption.
Deliverables
· Build-out a new state of the art 8,000 square foot facility
· Relocate 225 physical and virtual servers along with the supporting network infrastructure to the new data center
Objectives:
· Perform leasehold improvements on the existing of?ce space
· Relocate 70 employees from the old data center to their new of?ce space in the Company’s main of?ce campus
· De-commission the old data center and return it to the landlord Other Resources
· Your sponsor will provide up to 10 full-time team members and 2 consultants with a hourly rate of $125
· The project has a management reserve of $600k
· The project has a contingency budget of $100k
