Consider the structure of the fable
- a narrative that uses animals to teach important lessons about acceptable moral and ethical behavior
- a narrative that helps explain values important within a culture. Think of a message or a moral that you think is timeless and relevant to all cultures. Make sure that your fable makes use of animal characters as well as dialogue.
Your title should include the names of the animals
- "The Fox and the Pig" or "The Lion and the Bear." The purpose of the story is to divulge a moral; however, you need to consider the archetypal animal characters that will play a role in your story
- the fox, the pig, the snake, the rat, the dog, the leopard, etc.
What types of behaviors, personality types, etc. are associated with the animals that you choose? Make sure that you present your characters, a specific conflict, and a resolution that includes a moral.
