Conduct a marketing analysis of your selected industry and should address each of the following areas:

1. Brief description of product category/industry

2. Information/Overview of market and/or category/industry – Briefly include information such as size of total market, major competitors and any other pertinent information that will shed light on the industry. This should also include information on problems with the existing product(s) in the product category, competing products, etc.

3. External Environment (Opportunity and Threat) Analysis

4. Target Market/Segments – describe the industry target market(s) and segments.

5. Description of Industry Marketing Mix-

Product Offering – Explain/Discuss product strategy.

Distribution – Explanation of distribution system (direct or indirect) and distribution strategy; provide justification if direct distribution is used.

Pricing – Explain/Discuss pricing strategy.

Promotion – Explain/Discuss Promotional strategy

6. Product Positioning and Differentiation within the industry-

Indicate the product positioning/differentiation of each competitor (Points of Parity, Points of Difference)

7. Each project should contain a page that list(s) in proper format all sources utilized in the development of the project. Failure to have a “Sources Utilized” page will incur a project penalty
