Complete design of an employee training program

Assignment:

Create a written proposal in which you detail the complete design of an employee training program. This detailed Design must be a two day training program for a group of twenty (20) employees.

While there are similarities between this Assignment 2 and Assignment 1 and some information from Assignment 1 can be pulled into Assignment 2, I expect a robust expanded and detailed training program grounded and originally written training program with APA in text citation of research based articles. SafeAssign will compare how much of your Assignment 1 is used in Assignment 2 and it is my sincere expectation that Assignment 2 will go further in providing a detailed training program. Stay away from FLUSS (explaining T&D concepts, approaches, and theories instead of identifying, analyzing, comparing/contrasting, and making a clear and detailed decision and write up about your proposed training program.

Remember this assignment is worth 300 points! Please do not lose points by not following the following instructions.

Write a six to eight (6-8 which does not include the cover sheet or the reference page) page paper (in the order presented below) in which you ()

1. First, identify two - three issues that is impacting a business performance (chose a business of your choice)

1. These issues would be the "trigger events".

2. Summarize how these issues are impacting business
Doing this first will help you through the rest of the assignment as it adds clarity and logic to your paper.

1. Identify two to three training needs though a Training Needs Analysis (TNA) and justify an approach for this training.

1. Clearly articulate these two to three (2-3) training needs,

2. Identify which Training Needs Analysis (TNA)

1. Refer to our ebook Chapter Four:

1. TNA model (Organizational, Operational, and person analysis)

2. TNA framework (Input, Process, and Output)

Note: Be very specific on how you would conduct your TNA, which part of the TNA model would you use? Why? What are the inputs, process, and outputs? Here you will need to take a creative stand and speak in the past tense for example:

"A person analysis was conducted to better understand the [performance issue- trigger event noted in instruction #1 above]. This personal analysis approach consisted of interviews and questionnaires aimed at collecting critical data from both the management and non-management staff. The purpose of this approach is to ascertain the employees' perceived needs for training. Research shows that structuring interviews/questionnaires with a focus on transparency and inclusiveness creates a positive environment for open and honest sharing of employee work performance perceptions (Research Author Name(s), Year). Additionally, job knowledge test will ......etc etc etc.

It is important to stay focus on the assignment questions/instructions. Writing paragraphs explaining concepts/approach is not germane to the assignment and will not earn points. Stay focus.

1. Develop the training objective(s) for this program based on an analysis of the business.

1. Refer to the ebook to understand the correct structure of training objectives.

2. Your training objective(s) must align with the results you found in the TNA. You should have one training objective for each training you are proposing. For example, if one of my issues is poor customer service impacting business profits and my TNA using interviews/surveys showed that employees do not feel appreciated and or a part of the organization- then my training objective would be : "At the end of the Customer Service Improvement training (one of the issues I identified as part of the assignment #1 instruction) employees will express a sincere smile and helpful tone (comes from Chapter Five Training Design: Desired Outcome) when engaging all customers in person or on the phone (Conditions) resulting in an increase in Customer Service Scores of 50% or more within 60 days of completing the training (Standards use to measure training results)."

2. Determine the training cost for the training program you are proposing. Include a detailed breakdown of time allotted for each piece, the subsequent cost analysis, and the total cost for the project as a whole.

1. Refer to ebook Chapter Five Training Design "Budgeting for training" and search the internet for additional information on how to create a budget for training.

Note: There is no right or wrong dollar budget for this assignment. What is important is your attention to details on all components of your training program.

1. Select key training method(s) to deliver the program to employees, such as an e-Learning module or a one-day face-to-face training program. What is your rationale for using this training method(s)?

2. Create an agenda of activities for the training program.

1. This is what you would provide each trainee. It outlines the time and tasks that will be covered. Be detailed.
