Cmpute the resistor value for a high-pass filter having c

Assignment: ECG Lab Project

1) Compute the resistor value for a high-pass filter having C = 0.1µF, cut-off frequency of 0.3 Hz, and the gain of 2.

2) Compute the resistor value for a low-pass filter having C = 0.1µF, cut-off frequency of 50 Hz, and the gain of 2.

3) Build the HPF circuit and test it for sine-wave frequencies between 1 Hz and 100 Hz with 1 V(p-p).

4) Build the LPF circuit and test it for sine-wave frequencies between 1 Hz and 100 Hz with 1 V(p-p).

5) Build the instrumentation amplifier circuit using the AD624 Precision Instrumentation Amplifier (Analog Devices) and test it for 0.5 V (DC), and 1 V (DC) inputs. Adjust the gains.

6) Connect instrumentation amplifier, HPF, and the LPF in series and test for sine-wave inputs with 0.5 V (p-p) and 1 V (p-p) between frequencies of 1 Hz and 100 Hz.

7) Connect RA, LA and RL leads (3M Red dot Multi-purpose Monitor electrodes) to the cascaded circuit. Adjust gains and display an ECG signal.
