AFAM: INTRODUCTION TO AFRICAN AMERICAN STUDIES
TOPIC: Pursuit of Democracy and Voice of Protest..
Class members will prepare and submit a research paper to demonstrate content knowledge and written communication ability. Class members may choose a research question based on any of the topics from the 11 course modules. Each research paper must have a clearly stated thesis, and provide ample evidence in support of the thesis statement. Paper must be at minimum of 7 typed pages (not including the title or reference pages) double-spaced, standard 1-inch margins and 12 point font. Please use APA format for references (or the applicable formatting style for your major); a minimum of 6 references are required and may include course texts; Wikipedia is a valuable starting point for research, but is not an acceptable reference source for this assignment.
