Problem: According to my observation of toddlers when having pieces in a wooden puzzle, I will design a practical activity that would extend to their interests in matching and identifying shapes. To illustrate this experience, I will create a cardboard box containing four large shapes, circle, triangle, square and heart, and holes in the shape of the edges with an even distance. Children will have access to colored earbuds (cotton swabs), which would correspond to the silhouette of each shape. They are supposed to insert earbuds of matching colors into the holes, which encourages toddlers to apply problem-solving, identification of the shapes, and fine motor skills. This activity helps them in their intrinsic curiosity about puzzles and matching of objects, and gives them an additional challenge with matching colors and accurate hands. Need Assignment Help?
