Liquids A and B form ideal solutions. A mixture of the vapors of A and B, which is 40 mole % in A, is contained in a piston and cylinder arrangement. This arrangement is kept at a certain constant temperature T. The system is then slowly compressed. Given that the vapor pressures of A and B are 0.4atm and 1.2atm, respectively, at T, calculate the total pressure at which the liquid first begins to condense out and also the composition of this liquid. Calculate the composition of the solution whose normal boiling point is T.
