Question - Toluene and benzene, which behave ideally, are present in a mixture that is 60 mole percent toluene and 40 mole percent benzene. The mixture is distilled at 760 mm Hg at about 96oC and the vapor is condensed and analyzed and found to contain 38 mole percent toluene and 62 mole percent benzene. Calculate the partial pressure of benzene in the vapor phase at this temperature and calculate the vapor pressure of pure toluene at 96oC.
