Assignment:
You have been asked by the President of the United States to provide him with a report on prisons in the United States. In this report, he has asked you to find data and research on the number of inmates who are currently incarcerated in prisons (both state and federal) in the U.S.
- He has also asked you to examine the trends taking place in terms of the number of prisoners in the U.S. over the past 40 years.
- Lastly, he would like to know (in your professional opinion) if our correctional system is working effectively.
Your report must be formal and at least 2 to 3 pages in length.
