Based on the goal statement above, I need assistance creating a Measure and Analyze stage of Lean six sigma.
- For the MEASURE phase, the following need to be addressed: How will researchers determine the 'current state'? What type of data will researchers collect, specifically? Why are researchers collecting a particular type of data? Describe a plan for identifying waste in the proposed project, collecting data, and the rationale behind those decisions.
- For the ANALYZE phase, the following need to be addressed: How will researchers interpret the data they collected in the previous MEASURE phase? Do researchers have data that is appropriate for a Pareto Analysis? If so, describe. Do researchers have a process where it would be useful to know the takt time? If so, describe. Do researchers have an event or quality problem that could use a root cause analysis? Keep in mind, researchers don't need to have actual data yet, but they need to talk about their plan for analyzing the type of data they collected. The segment can also describe a potential problem where researchers can ask the "5 Why's" and brainstorm improvements using a Fishbone Diagram structure.
