Are there benefits to parenting choice that may outweigh

Problem

Raised Without Gender", two children living in Sweden are being raised without the gender stereotypes most of us may be familiar with. Their parents don't participate in "gender-typing", the practice of assigning a gender to toys, colors, hair styles or clothing. In fact, one parent, a biological male, is called "Mapa" and is interviewed going through the process of choosing an elementary school for the eldest child, Mika. Mapa is worried that the children will be bullied for their fluid gender expression out "in the big, bad world". Are there benefits to this parenting choice that may outweigh the challenges? Is it too dangerous for Mapa to try to bring up children outside society's "norm"? Mapa says "Gender confusion is a small price to pay for social progress." What do you think?
