  1. Are the human resources approach more appropriate for some kinds of jobs and organizations than others? Why or why not? Can human resources principles be adapted for a variety of workplaces?
  2. Considering that cultures as complicated and socially constructed through the communicative interaction of organizational members. Briefly describe how the organizational concepts of complicated, emergent, unitary, and ambiguous apply to the sample auto-ethnography. You can choose one or more of the departments or cultures from the essay. The sample auto-ethnography is located in Week 3 Module 6 of the course.
  3. Using Table 8.3 apply the "Paradoxes of Participative Democracy" to an organization you have or currently work for. Chose a situation where a decision process was occurring and apply the 4 types to the process. Be descriptive and thorough in your analysis. If you do not wish to reveal the company use company X. If you have never worked for an organization choose a well-known company (i.e. McDonald's, Walmart, and Military). But a lived experience is preferred.
