Approaches to research-measuring change

Question 1: Think about the variety of research approaches you have studied to date. How will you know what research approach is more suitable than the other with a particular research question or population of interest? How do psychologists develop confidence in making these kinds of decisions? What will you require to do to build confidence in your ability to choose a methodological approach which matches the research questions that interest you?

Question 2: Why is it so significant to measure change? As a psychology major, will your goal always be to change behavior? What others goals might you pursue? What kinds of behaviors, either your own or others' around you, would you be interested in changing? How would you assess that change?
