A solution has 0500kg h20 and 143g nacl what is the mole

A solution has 0.500kg H20 and 14.3g NaCl. What is the mole fraction of H20? The question also says (Hint: The number of moles of sodium ions and chloride ions must be accounted for separately in calculating the total number of moles in the solution) This is what I really don't understand.
