A nuclear reactor is fueled using an array of fuel slabs

A nuclear reactor is fueled using an array of fuel slabs comprised of UO2 sandwiched between nickel plates. The thermal conductivity of UO2 is k = 20 W/(m.K) , and nickel may be found from a table. Heat is generated in the UO2 fuel by the decay of U-235 isotopes, and the heat rate must be moderated to avoid melting the fuel (this would be done by controlling the neutron flux in the reactor). Assume the slabs of UO2 are 1cm thick, and the nickel sheathing is 1mm thick. Assume convection to the 400?C cooling water has a heat transfer coefficient h = 2000 W/(m2.K) . The maximum permissible temperature of the UO2 is 2000C (which provides about 800?C margin to the melting point of the material). What is the maximum steady-state heat generation rate in the plates (in W/m3)?
