A nuclear fuel element is in the form of a solid sphere of 6 cm diameter , cl added  with a cladding material of 3 mm thickness . the rate of heat generation in the fuel per unit volume is constant . This element is cooled with pressurized water and the heat transfer coefficient is 11640 W/m2 c . the thermal conductivity of the cladding material is 35W/m k and that of nuclear material is 5 W / m k . If the highest and lowest temperature s of the fuel are 600 and 200 c respectively . calculate the following :

a) The rate of heat generation per unit volume of the fuel ?

b) the temperature of the coolant ?
