IT Project Management Questions

Question 4: (200-250 words with references APA and samples if possible)

There are many different types of charts, like Pert and Gantt, used in project management scheduling and for doing a variety of project tasks.

Bring in what you know, you can research into, know from personal and work experience, and provide a summary in 200 words with references Samples of them would be good as well.

Question 5: Create a Work Breakdown Schedule with the following and Include at least three levels in your diagram:

A small equipment dealership in Ohio is looking to expand their reach by offering a mobile application that would allow customers to do better business. The APP would give the customer a way to contact the parts, sales or service department with a simple click in the app as well as getting inventory of current equipment for sale. The app could be expanded to cover additional functions if needed.

External Event: The management has had numerous requests for customers on creating a mobile support site as well as a possible application to search equipment inventory.

Error or omission in scope of product: The original scope included a parts ordering system on the app as well. The programmer failed to examine the needs of this system and it did not get included.

Error or omission in scope of project: The project listed a timeframe of 4 months in the scope. This was not feasible because the programmers needed to create a system that would integrate with another company's inventory system for it to function in the APP.

Value-added change: The ability for customers to look at inventory and immediately contact a salesperson is a vital change. This will allow quicker contact with the customer and to move inventory more quickly.

Risk response: The application is to integrate with the inventory system for the equipment. The system had a version of their database that would not function with the app and required a version update to allow the inventory to sync correctly.
