A based on your decision create a sampled signal of the sum

Given two continuous signals:
x1(t) = 5 sin(2 ? f1 t) x2(t) = -5 sin(2 ? f2 t)

Let f1 = 1 Hz and f2 = 1.05 Hz
Let us sample the signals at 5 Hz

How many samples of actual data (L in our formula) are needed to resolve the two signals? You should pick L to be a power of 2 so it gets rounded up.

a) Based on your decision create a sampled signal of the sum of the two sines, and plot the magnitude of the zero centered FFT with property frequency annotation. Did it work?
Check with the data tip tool.

b) Demonstrate what happens if you pad the data with the same number of zeros. Plot the results.

c) Write a paragraph describing what you did and why etc.
