A 300 ohm feedline is to beconnected to a 5-m long, 200 ohm line terminated in a 150 ohmantenna resistor. Both lines are lossless and use air as aninsulating material, and the operating frequency is 30MHz.

Determine

(a) The inputimpedance of the 5-m long line.

(b) The voltage standingwave ratio for the feedline.

(c) A quarter wavetransformer is now used to replace the 200 ohm line. Find thecharacteristic impedance of a quarter wave transformer tomatch the feedline and the resistor.

(d) Calculate the lengthof the quarter wave transformer for the matched case.

(e) Find the inputimpedance seen at the transformer input when operating frequency ischanged to 40 MHz.

(f) Find thereflection coefficient when the frequency is 40 MHz.

(g) Find the VSWR on thefeedline for the reflection coefficient in part (f).
