A. 0.75 kg of nitrogen is compressed in a cylinder polytropically (n = 1.3). The initial conditions are 140 kPa & 37 C. The gas is compressed until the volume is reduced by half (50% of original). Assume constant specific heats at 300 K

Determine the entropy change of the Nitrogen during the process.

Show that the process would be isentropic if n = k = cp/cv.
